An airing for the J-45 today

So, myself and the boys have a live radio show today on the main English language radio station... J-45 is restrung, stretched and ready to have a wee plucking....

2nd time I've played this show, but first for the other two boys, so should be quite amusing. Few songs and a bit of chat, will try to get a recording of it.

Scraping the barrel a bit aren't they ?

Most definitely.....

Sounds like good old craic. What songs have you chosen for the show ?

Depends what they're playing on their playlist for the show itself, but maybe some daft punk, some Donna Summer and either Bon Iver or some Jake Bugg. Although I wanted to do this.....

fair few gigs coming up, a few in France as well, plus all the Lux haunts as well... think we've got about 9-10 gigs confirmed already between start of Sept and mid Oct. waiting on final confirmed dates for another 4-5.

Good stuff. You're obviously doing something right .

Dunno about that... all down to dodgy covers, if we were more serious and trying to actually do something of our own we'd have no gigs and no radio show... As is, the more ridiculous we make it, the more successful it is..... we're definitely the biggest band on my street ;)

Well done mate, after this performace you guys no doubt will become everyones first choice wedding band.

We're gigging a bit less right now as pubs are pulling back their live music night due to the 'crisis' but I did get a bit of a shock when we were asked if we could play possibly a Xmas party in Chicago, from a contact from my ex employer. Kinda unlikely but nice to know it could be a possibility if logistics and timing worked ...

This sounds fun. Remember to smile! If I can figure out the time differences I'm going to try to catch this live. Daft punk... love it.

Shoot ! I think I missed it by 16 minutes!

We never done daft punk in the end, the host said "... I hate that daft punk song and loads of people ask for it" so we changed it around. We do two, faster better stronger harder and get lucky.

Is it noticeably affected then, EA. I thought (and it seems so) that Prague was booming compared to many eurozones. You'll get a band cheaper than a DJ in most places so I'd have thought it might be busy times for you.

Gig in the states would be a blast for ye's. make it happen.

What can ya say?

feckin great stuff PM..really really enjoyed thta..just listening to Hot Stuff..haha..Lil Louis the DJ ( Frech Kiss not Vega ) played at our club one time and he went thru a dicso housr in his set..****in brilliant.

Any way..ya;s are sounding grea,, first track i was a lil amused as this bluegrassy stuff ( soz Tom and bluegrass enthuisiasts ) was the kind of stuff I was playing in a band a couple of years back..the drummer became my drummer for a while..doing covers and originals

then we had a kick off on my 40th and I told him to piss off..i was wanting to go solo anyway

the band hes in now are doing really well..travelling Europe and gigging all ovet the place.. but they play mostly just covers and call them selves a Blugrass band... not my cup of tea

anyway.. good stuff geezer..I'll take u up on that pint one day maybe..u aint really heard me yet..hahaha

im on the wine in case you havent guessed...

Daft Punk?

LOL!

The three young guys that work for me (42, 42, and 28: Brit, Aussie, and Spanish) listen to a station driving to work in the morning that has "Get Lucky" in high rotation. I have to admit the beat is catchy, but I feel like my IQ has dropped 20 points by the end of the song.

I, on the other hand, went to a Heart/Led Zep Experience (Jason Bonham) concert a couple of nights ago (be still, my heart, when it comes to Nancy Wilson), so I guess every generation has its weaknesses when it comes to music.

If it makes you happy, play it.
