renin74 Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 have been gassing for one, especially in vintage sunburst. Anyone have pics? What do people who have one think of it? Is it a laminate like the es 335? thanks,...
KSG_Standard Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 The 137 is laminated like the 335...I love the guitar and was looking to pick one up when I found my 135. The sound from the 137, to me, is like a bigger, ballsier LP. It's also, to me, easier to play sitting down. There are some vids on youtube of the 137 being played...Good luck.

CajunBlues Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I have one.. The tone is similar to a 175 or a 335.. The finish and inlays are spectacular... The headstock is no-frills... Action is outstanding I gig with it regularly playing jazz... I put 57 classics in it using the splice method... It was a very slight improvement... The 490r/498t is not that much different from 57 classics...
Kenny V Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I have an 2002 ES-35 and have had no issue with the finish or anything else for that matter. It's a great sounding guitar.
