powerpopper Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I've been stumped by this because it seems so small...or maybe it's obvious and I'm being dense. What is the guitar he is holding? Sorry, I haven't posted pics here before. Hope this works!

TWilson Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I was also thinking J-200 Junior or L-200 Emmylou Harris model. Nice looking guit whatever it is.
powerpopper Posted December 24, 2008 Author Posted December 24, 2008 Oh no, I feel a bad case of GAS coming on...
Thermionik Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 That appears to be the Warren Zevon Guitar Song Book cover. and it looks like a J-200 in Black
Guest Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 The waist looks a little narrower than a 17" J-200, and, there's no binding on the neck, which also says "Jr". Fred

It also doesn't have the little protuberence at the end of the fretboard pointing into the soundhole. It looks to be the size of a CJ-165. It's a handsome devil though!
guitarstrummer Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I agree with Fred. The lack of fretboard binding indicates JR.

A quick search of J-200JR's says that they are as rare as rocking horse poop, though...:)
Guest Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Sorry guys, the guitar in question does have a 'bird's beak' protuberance at the base on the fingeboard. Which is consistent with the J-200Jr specifications. Closer (but very grainy) view: Fred
TWilson Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Good one, Sherlock Shrimer! I guess the lack of binding is the deciding factor after all.
