Gibson Thunderbird white colors

Hello there,

I was wondering if anyone knows what white colors Gibson (not Epiphone) has made the Thunderbird in?

On some pictures the white bass looks kinda cream white but on some it doesn't. Are these two separate colors or was the Thunderbird only made in one white color? (again, not talking about the Epiphone which I know is in "Alpine White" or something).

Thanks a lot!

Usually the Gibson version is classic white as the Epiphone is alpine white, the Gibson version is more yellow in colour than the epiphone and pictures vary due to the flash/light bouncing off it, personally i prefer the epiphone white as it more of a brilliant white.

That's a sweet thunderbird looks like an ebony fretboard as well

Indeed it was. I bought this bass off a guy on ebay and I don't think he had it for 6 months. The case was mint (complete with the velvet blanket) and the control cavity cover still had plastic on it.

I really enjoyed this bass - it played beautifully. TBirds are one of the best Rock & Roll basses made IMO. In truth it was actually pretty versatile tonewise, but when it was time to rock the house it shone. After a few years though I wasn't reaching for it as often as I used to and it became fodder for a trade into a '74 LP Triumph which I still have. I'm sure the current owner is very happy with it.
