jt
I had a delightful surprise today: a woman who heard an NPR story in which one of the Kalamazoo Gals and I were featured wrote a song for the Gal. Here's the song: http://lisamoaiery.bandcamp.com/track/kalamazoo-gals Best is that this woman wrote and recorded the song just in time for the BBC production about the book, to be recorded later this month. jannusguy2
Well, isn't that sweet! She needs to add a verse about you shining a light on those gals!

I may actually put together a book and CD about the L-00 and other depression era guitars. Next up for me, though, is "One Hundred Years of Solitude, Struggle, and Violence: A Social and Cultural History of the Communities along the Arizona, New Mexico, and Mexico Borders" (American History Press, 2015, or so). And I've asked our own GT Hurley to work with me on a companion CD of US border music. Could be cool.

jt
Galvaston bay ? Or you exploring more traditional stuff ? Much more traditional. The great mixture of Mexican/American music from the early 20th century to present day.

jt
good tune! cool indeed Thanks! I've been e-chatting with the BBC producer. We're gonna record Lisa performing the song in one of the rooms in the nearly-abandoned Gibson factory in Kalamazoo. Should be amazing.
