Les Paul Traditional Pickguard

I would be more concerned with the dimensions than any slight color difference. Seems there has been some variation in pickup spacing and screw hole locations over the years. If I could only order online I would try the Standard first. Better to take your old guard to a store for comparison, or order a custom guard online.

The one that unfortunately came mounted to my Traditional, and the two delivered separately with Gibson USA Standards have exactly the same dimensions. However, though I think they all have the same item number, there are slight differences in colour. The one from October 2011 has a touch of orange, that from April 2012 looks fairly creamy whereas that from April 2013 tends slightly to mint green. Interestingly the provided pickguards nicely match the bindings of the related guitars.

I think this should be the correct spare part:

I need a replacement pickguard for my 2009 Les Paul Traditional.

I am looking for original parts only, although I am unsure which of the two shown on the Gibson store would be a correct colour match the Standard or the Historic 59?

I got the standard one for my Traditional. I bought the guitar as a scratch and dent the the pickguard was warped. I saw no appreciable difference between the two.

Looks very nice, couldn't match any better. [thumbup]

See you changed to top hat knobs, too, I like their looks. However, due to loss of sensitivity in my right hand, I always do the opposite and change from top hats to speed knobs. Fun & function over looks - I just need to get a grip...
