Some old Gibson archtops in full swing!!!

Yeah I love this video. This is the era of Gibson I'm really into. Just curious though, what do you consider the "Golden Age" of Gibson archtops?

Everyone will have a different opinion on this, but I'd say from the early 1930's through the late 1950's. This 1947 L-7 is a good example, at least to my eye and ear: carved maple back, carved spruce top, maple neck, 17" body, and plenty of funk.

That time period pretty much leaves out the 16" L-5 which are a lot of people think are the best Gibson archtops.
