High def guitar porn

My brother is staying at my house for a couple of days to do a cabinet install for a client and brought his bad a$$ camera. We took a bunch of pictures of my guitars. Had to pick and choose because these pictures show even the smallest spec of dust. I'm lovin' the Strat especially! NICE!

Have you swapped the bridge-posts on the Lester, Moparguy?....:-k

P.

EDIT : Advanced Plating Inc. And Google is my friend.......LOL!

Have you swapped-out both Gibson parts and, if so, how do the Advanced Plating parts compare with the originals?

Always assuming you don't mind my nosiness, of course.........

My 2011 to 2013 Gibson USA guitars all came stock with Advanced Plating parts.

OK....

Thanks! When did that start, capmaster, do you know? Pardon my ignorance!

I'm pretty sure all my ABR-1's say 'Gibson ABR-1' and I'm almost sure none of my stop-tails have anything written on them at all...........

I can't say I was terribly interested, previously, but now I am curious. I'll have to have a peek sometime!

Sadly, I don't know when it started. Just got to know them in 2012 on a 2011 L6S. Before that, I only new stopbars with a mark from die-casting on its bottom side. I was surprised to see the new chrome-plated ones came with a brand relief when I replaced the first of them with a TP-6 fine tuning tailpiece.

The bottom side of the super-expensive (when bought as a spare part) nickel-plated aluminum stopbar of my Custom Shop Standard looks like the older ones still although the ABR-1 bridge of the same guitar says "GIBSON ABR-1".

Sorry, got lost in details before...

Very nice guitars [thumbup]

As a personal opinion, I would like the Les Paul over the Stratocaster. This is because of the look of woods as well as of my preference for Floyd Rose systems.

I see that you adjust string action to a level that allows for reasonable playing ;)

So I may be right you dislike fret buzz as I do, too...
