jrplefty
My brother will be getting married next summer. I got a request Friday night from his fiancee to help her find an acoustic song to play as she walks down the aisle. I was having trouble coming up with a song as I delved through my library, so I decided to sit down and rework an idea that I've been toying with since last summer. It's a very simple progression, but to my ears sounds very smooth, romantic, and elegant. I uploaded it to YouTube this morning so I could share it with her and see what her thoughts are. Seeing as how I'm in the sharing mood, I thought I would share with you all as well. Yes, I realize this is very rough, and needs a lot of polishing before it's passable in a public setting. Hopefully, your coffee cups aren't empty yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9cRwQertwQ JRP
MissouriPicker
That's a real good sound. Certainly fits the seriousness and inclusiveness of a wedding. Reminds me a bit of "Canon in D," but it is far from identical and has its own tones of solitude, love, life, family, dedication. This little tune has echoes of good things to come in the future (like a home, family, life). Sounds perfect for the beginning of the event as people are being seated. Personally, I don't think it sounds that rough.

jrplefty
Hang on, werent you missing the socks though .. ? The socks were factory installed, but I didn't like the sound with them in there so I took it to my luthier and had them removed
