Bryn6490
I removed the bridge pickup to see what was there. What does "#2 AL V "Wound by PS", mean. Also in the bridge cavity is written LP GT or LP 6T. What does this mean. Thank you for any and all help.
capmaster
What # 2 might mean I could only guess. AL V should mention an AlNiCo V (or 5 - both writings are common) magnet, PS should be the initials of the employee who wound it, and LP GT should say Les Paul Gold Top I think. Is Alnico 5= Burst bucker pro? I was thinking gold top too but my Paul is not a gold top. my les paul looks like Iced Tea or Amber.
Bryn6490
I was informed that LP 6 means my Lester has a 60's neck. LP 5 would mean a 50's neck.
capmaster
Thank you very much for clarifying. What's the meaning of the T? I didn't look into the pickup cavities of my 2013 Traditional, so I don't know what's perhaps written there.
