Cheers BK I'm actually using a decent mic,,the Octava 12 MkII... with the omni capsule... but going direct into a mini disc recorder...which really wants a stero mic... Im not too bothered about sound quailty at the mo..as I havent got my lil studio set up .. maybe a lil hard to listen to for some...but i kinda like the REALLY lo fi quality sometimes.. ta anyways :)
BigKahune
. Liked that one very much - sounds great. . B) In your recording, your J-35 sounds more modern to me - in comparison to BK's 37, that recording of him sliding on his 37 sounds very much back in the day. Of course the guitars are separated by many decades. .

Del Nilppeznaf
thanks fella's BK..i know its only coming out one speaker...as I am going direct to the Sony minidisc..which has a stero input :) I have the Allen & Heath little desk..we have talked about it before..they are great little desks for the home studio aren't they. Like I say my studio is not set up at present.... i literally grabbed the guitar..put my slide on and knocked it out... so when i have my set up again..i may attempt a more polished slide track thanks for listening people

aerohead
Not sure what you mean by sloppy. It sounded good to me but then again everything I do is loose and sloppy (insert distasteful joke here)! You are one of those guys along with several others on here that I look for new recordings from before browsing thru the other posts. Keep it up Del and Thanks for sharing. flatbaroque
Nice one Del! I remember a fair while back there was some discussion on open tunings and you didn't seem that up on them.Sorry if i'm not remembering that correctly.Without testing that one i'm assuming it was in open G or D? So I guess you are into them now? Sounded good whatever it was.

You are the other one that has the A&H desk! I can only assume you are homeless at present or you would be using it, woudln't you? Maybe mine (settings) is a fluke sound wise? Many years ago, to get a sound as good as my mixer gives me, would cost many thousands and I remember standing around staring at a friend's new mixer at the time - like how we mens like to stand in a circle and stare at something we don't really understand - perhaps we are waiting for the object to talk to us? Anyway, I wouldn't bother you if I didn't think you had such a strong voice and it needs to be heard at high quality! BluesKing777.
Del Nilppeznaf
Thanks again for kind words fellows great as usual. are you stomping your foot for percussion or is that some type of metronome? It's the owld foot a stompin sal...if you listen I actually speed up as the song gets going I envisaged a flip flop :) heh heh a fine pair of black slip on gym shoes actually BB... not sure PM would approve..but whats he know about footwaer ;) Nice one Del! So I guess you are into them now? Sounded good whatever it was. I can't remeber discussing open tunings FB... i remeber talking tuning down a half tone or full tone..in standard tuning...and I didn't really dig it :0 and yea open G Forgive me Del! You are Maybe mine (settings) is a fluke sound wise? Well ta BK I don't think it's a fluke..The A & H desks are renowned for there sound...and with technology being so cheap now a days...they have put a little bit of their high end workings in these little desks :) I always leave my EQ flat...unless you are working on a proper desk..ie: one that costs an arm and a leg... then the EQ just wont cut it...once in the digital domain though..thats another story...software like Waves..or Sonnex and your talking serious effects and EQ..as you know not as good as analog mind ;) and | know u agree there My sound man/ bass player always tries to sweeten my vocals live..or add warmth..and i always notice straight away and tell him to put me flat..:)
