xxx
I just last week, ( Maybe 10 days ago ) received my GOTW #29 Reverse flying V. I've been looking at it thinking " Ya know if I just modified it by cutting off the upper wing, it would allow better visual access to the fret board and not look so freakishly wierd!" ( As if hacking the upper wing off would make it look like an acceptable member of the guitar community! ) My wife just looks at me and shakes her head. Then I'm on the American musical web site about 4 days ago and see they just received one GOTW #29 in the limited trans amber color, to fulfill the obligation that Gibson had with them to provide a certain # of The Trans Amber Rev. V's, so I bought it!!! What is wrong with me?!!??!?! Is there an intervention or some 1-800 number that I can call for help?
Tim Plains
Is there an intervention or some 1-800 number that I can call for help? If you find it, let me know. I have the same problem. :) I think the only cure is to keep buying. Eventually, you will tire yourself out. I'm buying a VOS LP soon...hopefully that'll do it. xxx
Follow up. I received my 2nd reverse flying V and it was a disaster. I have never seen such poor workmanship in any instrument. I'm 46 yrs old and have seen my share of poor quality instruments. ( Remember the 70's Fenders? ) Anyway. I sent it back. And bought a scratch and dent week 25 GOTW Les Paul Studio w/ BFG electronics. I am pleasantly surprised. This one is one of the finest guitars, quality wise that I have ever had. I don't understand how the quality can be all over the charts like that. Any how I still need intervention.
