nick_s
For me, it would consist of: Top grade flamed maple (plain colour, Black Gold as per PRS colours) One piece SOLID mahogany back (light stain at best, same for neck) 60's profile neck Nice dark rosewood board Crown inlays Ebony peghead veneer Abalone 'Gibson' inlay on peghead Burstbucker Pro's Traditional wiring Plain binding Gold hardware to blend with the top colour No pickguard How about you guys? BR TOAD
I like your proposal other then I would really prefer an EBONY neck rather then rosewood.. other then that I think it fits what I would go for at this time *)o(*b
quapman
I wouldn't have to spec it,, I would just have to go find an original late 60's custom black beauty and I would be very happy.

nick_s
The one on the left isn't a Gibby....right? That'd be my guess too, the bridge/binding and lower bout aren't right :)
Johnny 6 String
The one on the left looks like an Agile LP, heard many good things about them, never actually played one though. Back to the OP, think I'd like something with the P90/bucker combination in honey/amber burst with a gloss finish.

Bender 4 Life
Johnny 6 String nailed it. 2 pc maho body under 3/4" book-matched Canadian flame top slim-taper maho set neck w/ bound ebony fb, abalone inlays, med-jmbo frets 18-1 Grover Super-Rotos tusq nut AlNiCo V p'ups , 500K pots, (I swapped the cer.disc caps for an Emerson PIO bridge cap & Orange Drop neck cap) nickel plated (magnet tested)steel hardware & p'up covers plays and sounds as good as any "working level" guitar i've played got it before the price increase, so it was $417 incl. shpg. ($100 more now) had it had it 5 yrs now, not required a truss-rod adjustment yet. in tune at least 95% of the times i've taken it out of it's HSC
btoth76
Hello! My choice would be a '74 Reissue Custom in cream color. As for a non-existing model, it would be Custom made of tonewoods typical for my country: oak (or walnut) body and neck, flamed acacia top in Vintage Sunburst finish, with maple fretboard. Multiply binding with reversed pattern (black out as on Recording). Gold hardware, '57 Classic with four push-pulls for (fat) coil-taps, phase, and series switching. Cheers... AndyK
If money was no object, I'd buy one of Kossoff's! Either the 'blonde' or the 1960 tiger stripe.
Riffster
Frankly I already have mine, I bought an R8 with the exact color I wanted with an ever so lightly figured top (more like birdseye than flame) and then I had the neck shaved to my specs. I am good. Pickups, I have a set of DiMarzio 36th anniversary on it and a set of classic 57's to try next.

I'd be curious to back-to-back my R0 with its current p'ups with, again, my R0 with a pair of '57 - '62 PAF's/PatNo p'ups. Anything else would be a complete waste of time. P. kaicho8888
If money is no object; I don't have to spec it. ...I'll just get started with 100 different types of LP's... no one guitar can be "the only one".
