mattdunnmusic
I recently purchased a J-45 Custom guitar and I am in love with the sound. I play three to five shows a week and I need to make sure it does not feed back from the monitors. I do not want to use a feedback buster because they are hideous. I have read reviews about the O Port from Planet Waves and it seems like a good idea. However, the volume knob will be blocked and I am afraid the O Port might take away from the natural sound. Any opinions on this? Has anyone tried this before? Thanks
jrplefty
I have a standard, which I believe has the same electronics as your custom. I have only played it live in open mic situations, where I have exactly zero control over the PA system. The house monitors are standard wedge monitors pointed back at me. I have not used any form of feedback buster, and I have not had any issues with feedback. I know that doesn't answer the original question, but I figured it might save you a couple of bucks.
