Anderson Borges
I'd be glad if you help me to find out if this Gibson Custom (Custom Shop) Reissue 68 Triburst is an authentic Gibson Custom Shop! Thank you very much!
capmaster
I am not a forum specialist, but there are no alarm signals that would make me doubt. Do you have a Certificate of Authenticity for it respectively have seen one?

Do you have a Certificate of Authenticity for it respectively have seen one? Hi! Actually I have another Gibby Custom Shop R9 that has it's CoA. For me, I also have no doubt about the Authenticity of this 68'Ri. But, just to keep off any trace of it, I created this topic =] Thank's dude! The make clearly speaks for a Gibson made instrument, everything seems to be period correct for a '68 reissue, i. e. maple neck, mirrored top hat knobs, three tone sunburst, and so I think it's all OK. Thank's mate! I have pictures of the bottom of the neck pickup hole showing the Long tenon neck, but I could not attach it cause I just used all of my upload quota... This is another typical characteristic of this instrument. Cheers!
Dave F
I had one that looked just like this I sold earlier this year. I bought it new in 2008 from GC. Great guitar, was just too heavy (10.6 lbs) for me at my age. My understanding is it is a GC exclusive. Still like the looks.

Mine weights excact the same as yours old friend: 10.6lbs The best issue about the heavy tonewood regarding this guitar is the ressonance. You can feel the wood vibrating in your hands! Each note! This is amazing!! And yeah, it looks great! Cheers mate!
