I have a similar relationship with Maiden, don't like that many of their songs, but the ones I do are fricken awesome. and they're always great live.

this song is far from my favourites but I recently learned the glasses wearing man in the video is Graham Chapman of Monty Python! shortly before he died...

Iron Maiden are awesome live. I saw them at Twickenham Stadium a few years back on the Somewhere Back In Time tour. They encored with 'Hallowed' and the whole place went insane. I kinda lost it a bit then myself :D

UP THE IRONS!!!!

I am big fan of Iron Maiden, ever since Number of the Beast came out then with Piece of Mind they were solidified as one of my all-time favorite bands.

Back then it took me a while to warm up to the song 2 Minutes to Midnight though, it has definitely the less fluid style of Adrian Smith imprinted in it, not a bad thing but Dave Murray was always one of my favorite players.

Their show in Nashville one month ago was great.

I had great seats, here is a couple of phone pics

And another where the lens is completely overwhelmed by the stage pyro, I thought it was cool. looks like an atomic explosion.

Yea, while I heard a few songs on the radio off the Number of the Beast I had not seen/album the album itself, I ended up finding Piece of Mind when it was released and the after one week I bought Number of the Beast.

I was really intrigued as to why they sounded so different on these records, the first and only time I had heard of them was on a compilation called "Heavy Duty" (owned by my neighbor)from 1980 or 1981 that had a few new bands and some more established. I ended up buying this vinyl myself recently and it is a great compilation (you can't hit shuffle with vinyl, so this is as good as it gets for those occasions)

The first two Iron Maiden records are priceless despite of Harris still not liking the production of the first album, the DVD Iron Maiden "the Early Years" is a jewel.
