nm4
Hi folks, Just purchased a Studio Deluxe II 50's neck from Guitar Center. Loving it so far. Hard to find info on this guitar because it's limited to a few shops but so far the 490R/Burstbucker combo sounds great and the coil splitting and active boost are interesting toys. My PRS and Strat are sorely jealous but neither is as much fun. Honestly I adore the way this guitar feels, sounds...and even how it smells. I had a few questions about this guitar that I was hoping someone could help me answer: 1) Does it have a PLEK setup? (Action is great and it has no buzz so I have no plans on changing it...just interested). 2) Is the body chambered or swiss-cheesed? Any way I can tell? I read it was chambered but also read that the prior version (Studio Deluxe) had traditional weight relief. 3) I've noticed that I can feel the joint of the fretboard and neck. I noticed this on almost every LP I tried (Studios, standards, traditionals, signature T) to varying degrees. Not a huge deal in terms of playability but it doesn't exactly impart a sense of fine craftsmanship. Heck the $4k LP custom at GC had a more noticeable joint than my SD. Thanks for your help, NM
