Izzy
I'd throw my panties at this guy. Killer! I really like his energy, he's like...committed to that song. That SG was nice, uhm...based on the inlays...is it an oldie? 'cause I never seen a tasteful SG burst from the 70s.

surfpup
Great stuff. I have alot of his video to watch later tonight! Yes, there are a few. Though no album yet I don't think - just live radio spots. Here's another one - about 20 minutes worth...

surfpup
I'll betcha it's loud! Yeah, and fat. It looks like he is using a lot of amps - like stereo of steroids! Of course the kick drum may be going through one of them.
rocketman
I realized that he had natural talent after about the first 30 seconds. He probably has more talent in his pinky than my entire body. That was awesome.
Gralst
I wish I could say I was more impressed than I am but I'm not. Yeah, he's good but I don't see where keeping a very basic beat with a kick drum makes him a one man band. Sounds like Jack White meets Jimi c.Rainbow Bridge. I'm not saying he's a no talent hack but he isn't doing anything that hasn't been done before and done better before. Now, I realize it's a different genre (though she's covered every genre from country to New Orleans jazz to straight ahead rock) but this is Theresa Andersson and her one woman show: No it's not testosterone-laden, over-driven guitar but this impresses me. ..and I'll bet she smells better than the other guy and definitely has cleaner hair lol

Izzy
No it's not testosterone-laden, over-driven guitar but this impresses me. ..and I'll bet she smells better than the other guy and definitely has cleaner hair lol What makes the Reignwolf stand out is that there isn't as much going on as in typical multi-instrumentalist performances. Lets think about the lag time it takes to get that Blue Skies song going; sure I enjoy watching the song building once, maybe twice, but do I want half an hour or more of that for every song? No thanks. I could put up a vid of Andrew Bird who uses loops and violin with guitar and various other instruments. Andrew is talented and precise and amazing but... The Reignwolf vid made me want to go to his show (and toss panties at him), I'm just sayin', the delivery and the way he does the basic primal drive on drums while letting the guitar do the talking with his vocals just adorning all raspy and rocking....oh yeah. That man can have greasy hair and a beard, I'd still marry him.

That man can have greasy hair and a beard, I'd still marry him. I didn't say that Theresa didn't make me want to toss my panties at her...I just felt that the inevitable consequences of my doing so out-weighed the extent and necessity of satisfying my compulsion. No, I seriously understand what you're saying and I agree and yeah, Theresa's performance is maybe a bit too much foreplay with the build up (But that build up is much of her performance and what she does), where as Reignwolf cuts to the chase. As I said, I don't think Reignwolf sucks, quite the contrary. I just also happen to enjoy that building block process because that's how I've done it for the past forty years with my song writing though with tape and later digital, looping, and samples.I couldn't find anyone who could grasp what I was trying to do or who could do it as I wanted it done so I did it myself. It wasn't that I was so egotistical (more like I was too insecure to invite them into my ideas), it was that in a band situation there's a democracy and it was far beyond me to expect other talented musicians to follow my instructions without there being some ego issues arise. About fifteen years ago I saw a busker in the London tube and he had a big car battery system rack running his amp and his board and the PA along with a kick drum and hi-hat and various percussion instruments. It blew me away and he was doing essentially what Reignwolf does. My Brit lady friend at the time kind of snickered and said "if you think that's something, get a load of this" and took me to another part of the tube system where there were amazingly talented people doing amazing things. I'm aware of Andrew Bird (In fact I came across him about seven years ago when first searching out Theresa on the webz). Back in the early 2000s a friend of mine produced a local talent show on public television and I helped out a lot. The idea was to showcase local talent while having the ulterior motive of finding the next big thing and profiting from it. We also put together gigs of three or four acts doing twenty minute sets (Like the old Motown Revues of my youth) which we video taped and ran on the TV program. Mostly what we came across were shoe-gazing high school kids with their guitars hanging down by their knees. Post-adolescent, angst-filled teen-aged girls with capo'ed twelve strings working out the complexities of their social-sexual traumas and thirty something women playing Celine Dion songs on their Casio keyboard. The positive in it was I gained access to a lot of potential venues. After I saw Theresa on You Tube I contacted her manager (I think it was her husband actually) to find out if Theresa would be interested in a six or eight show mini tour of the northern tier of states and what guarantees she required, and if she'd roll in her travel and lodging as part of her fees(A tax thing). I was trying to figure out what kind of front money I'd have to get together and what kind of pre-sale I'd have to do to break even. I was very serious and very close to becoming a concert promoter but she was having a baby while trying to get an album out and had commitments to tour in Sweden (She's Swedish from Sweden but has lived in New Orleans for over twenty years). After she had her child the hormonal levels messed with her voice and she ended up taking a year off from touring. I lost interest and she was involved elsewhere so nothing ever happened but I think that might have been fun. She has a considerable discography on Spotify and she's played with some pretty heavy hitters across a lot of genres. I think now with the baby and having gone past forty the touring thing holds little interest for her. It would have been fun though.
