blueman01 Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 k im planning on getting a new case for my gibson l-4a which is the same size as a j-185. i was wondering if my l-4a will fit in a j-45 case. if not do u guys know where i can find a new l-4a case. the l-4a case looks just like the j-45 case but the inside might be a lighter blue.
Guest Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 I just tried my J-185 in my SJ (same as J-45) case, and it would only fit with some gentle shoe-horning. So "yes" it will fit, but "it's not a good long-term idea", because it's a skooch too snug in there! Fred

Fred[/quote'] cool thanx for the help. but i decided to keep my original case because i found out i wasn't using enough dryer sheets inside it. i found out to get rid of the cigarette smell on a case use soap and water on the outside and on the inside use a lot of dryer sheets and 2 bags of baking soda.
