Mojorule
Sounds better than I expected - quite close to a standard mahogany version when fingerpicked, which is what my ears judge everything by. Not so similar to a hog version on g runs or when strummed - a little bit lacking in bass thump for my liking. A more trebly voice to my ears. Great for some, but I'd not swap a hog one for it. ParlourMan
Is the T-man on this forum? He's rather nimble on the thumb on this clip. I'm going to have to start calling him Tony stealth-thumb if he keeps that up... Didn't hear anything in this that would warrant the upcharge compared to the standard. onewilyfool
Just an observation.....that Koa is NOT very flamey, Check some old posts of Danville Rob's Doves, and you will see some AAAA Koa, same with my J-200, now THIS is koa!!!
E-minor7
Man, that's one nice sounding koa J-45 - I hear a more clean aura around this one than the hog models. It sounds huge from here too. .
