yes. usually happens when the saddle isn't seated properly... usually happens during a string change. make sure it is fully seated and you will probably fix it. if not, then make sure the bottom is perfectly flat and even pressure is applied to the pickup across all strings.

That "metal strip" runs up into the bridge and through the saddle, and down thru a hole in the other side. With care you can adjust this by moving it from side to side - tiny increments - and you may get better string balance. I have had to do this from time to time on under saddles I used to have. Careful, those ribbons are delicate, easy to wrinkle or twist.

Also, 1/8 to 1/4" of the end of the braided pickup is basically mute. I've found one method to get the more active part of the UST under the high E string is to make a small impression in the floor of the saddle slot (with a drill or a tiny chisel) at the high E side that will allow the "dead end" of the UST to slip farther along the slot.
