Newbie ? - How to care for the finish on a 2005 Faded Les Paul?

Thanks for having me on the forum.

 

My wife just bought me a 2005 faded les paul for Xmas and it has some scratches on the wood. Is there a way to treat or care for this finish? Is there any way to get these light scratches out? Thanks!

I use Fender's guitar care kit. It's made by Meguiar's (the car polish company) and branded by Fender. It's not going to remove deeper scratches, but will definitely smooth out normal swirls and give your guitar a really nice shine. I use it on all of my guitars.

Is it a faded finish or the Vintage Mahogany finish?. The term faded is used for both but there is a diference.
