Epiphone Casino-My problem

Sachooc

Recommended Posts

Hi, a few days ago I bought the Epiphone Casino. I was surprised when I stripped the transmitter. I have a question-whether the connection is negligent in these guitars? http://images61.fotosik.pl/348/9e7c935f0ed21867gen.jpg

And another thing string action. Although the bridge is lowered all the way and so I have a high share of string-so is in these guitars? Because I think it should be that as a bridge to leave the whole of it fall on the neck of the guitar strings?

Sorry for my english. I'm from Poland :)

Ok, I think I know what you're trying to say!

Are you worried that the neck doesn't look as though it is properly joined to the body? It's not a wonderful piece of woodwork, but as long as there is good contact on the two sides of the tenon, it should be structurally sound.

As far as the string height is concerned, you should have enough adjustment at the bridge to set the action as low as you could possibly want. If you cannot lower the string height to where you want it by lowering the bridge, then there is cause for concern.

Is this a new / recent guitar? have you just bought it? Perhaps you could take a photo of a side view of the neck, and of the bridge as you have adjusted it so we can get a better idea of where there is a problem?

Looks like you have a little adjustment left on the bass side, none at all on the treble. It's hard to tell from the photo but the bass side action looks ok. Could you measure the action for the two E strings at the 12th fret? (distance between top of fret and bottom of the string). Also, what is the neck relief like? (if you're not sure, fret the string at the 1st fret and the 16th fret and around the 8th fret measure the gap between the string and the fret.

hi. I'm sorry I'm late

E6 - 1.5 mm 12th fret

E1 - 1.4 mm 12th fret

but I'm worried that despite the abandoned bridge should go on the neck

The Epi owners manual says E1 should be 4/64 (about 1.6mm) and the E6 at 6/64 in (2.4mm), so it's a little low. But, If it's not buzzing you can set it where ever you like. Those are just the recommended numbers.
