Bandwidth
I bought this epiphone, found out it was made in Korea May of 1988. But I was told it was a X1000. But can it be a S900. How do I tell. It has 22 frets, not 24. Thanks for the help.

Bandwidth
You'll find help here.... http://epiphonewiki.com/index.php/S-Series I was told it was a X1000, but that info is not very complete. I am leaning towards s900 myself based on the info you gave me.

Bandwidth
It has the typical steinberger bent shaft, I know where to get that hardware thanks to this forum. How much can these be worth? It is very clean. Only problem is the bridge right now, but that will be taken care of soon.
RobinTheHood
Its hard to say what this guitar is worth. Being clean is good for sure, but the Steinberger is a huge minus for this guitar. I would think that it should be worth a few hundred dollars, but this model is practically unknown and has extremely limited desirability. If you are looking to sell it, you can try listing it for $300 and see if anyone bites. If you get a lot of calls on it, sell it or raise the price. If no one seems interested, the price is probably too high.
Bandwidth
Why is it a negative? If I can fix it that is. I'm not looking to sell it. Just want to know what I got basically. Thanks for all the help.

Bandwidth
So what is wrong with this bridge. Besides the studs bending. If fixed is it just a bad bridge. I am not familiar with it.
RobinTheHood
Its only a negative when it comes to resale. Many people are familiar with this bridge and these licensed versions were made from really cheap pot metal that bends and breaks. You'd have an easier time selling it (and probably for more money) if it was a version of the S-900 with a Floyd Rose, for example. If you are going to fix it, play it and you like it, then thats all that matters.

It is a sweet guitar and I am ordering parts today to fix trem so it should be even better soon!
