ruffdog64 Posted December 27, 2008 Share Posted December 27, 2008 Help please guys, i`ve just got myself a burstbucker 3 for my sg special faded and went to fit it to find the wiring is different from the original pup already there , on the original there is a plug to which there is a black wire and a green wire and on the bb3 there is only an outer shielding and a black wire , i`m told there is somewhere a how to do with colour photos can you help? or am i being thick and it`s simlpy black to black and the shielding to the green wire? many thanks Harvey Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As far as I know, Gibson factory installed pickups have 2 conductors, while the one you bought (aftermarket) comes with 4 conductors. You are going to install it like a normal 4 wires pickup.
