Very funny... now if you say you play guitar they look at you like you are a weirdo with no life... (you know... whoever has time to learn to play an actual instrument must be because they dont have a social life, women, guitarhero, go to discos, and lots of other "important and normal" stuff).

Now see, I find the exact opposite at my age (42). When I was in my 20s, I'd get plenty of girls but everyone else was looking at my like I had no future. Fortunately, I'm a pretty good looking guy and looked like a rock star when I was in my 20s with the long hair and all so the girls didn't seem to be thinking about the future (mine or theirs). Sorry if that sounds conceited, I'm not actually it's just that I know my strengths and weaknesses.

Back to the point. Today, when people find out I play a guitar, they feel that I have talent and a musical endeavor. It's a plus. Go figure.

That reminds me of a tasteless old joke about the husband that came home late and found that his wife had thrown all of his clothes onto the front lawn, he went into the house where his angry wife confronted him, she said get out you pedophile. He said pedophile, that's an awfully big word for a 12 year old.
