npelton13
I just upgraded my les paul to two seymour duncan pickups and I was wanting to install some vintage caps. I have the sn-2 jazz on the neck and screamin' demon bridge pickups. I was looking at some Sprague caps but dont know what kind to get. Thanks for your help! Heres a picture of my totally modded out LP

DoubleSixx
I should be receiving my Vitamin Qs soon. I'll let you know what I think. I know flight959 got a more bluesy tone from Vitamin Qs. I'm hoping for the same.
eddie
Vitamin Qs!!!!!! I have tested a pile of caps (literally) and they are the best sounding. Even the repro All Parts ones sound good. Normally I like the .01 in the neck, but the Qs, the .022 sound best to me. I'm going to try out some .033 and .047 in the bridge, but for now it's .022 all around. -Eddie

eddie
Vintage ones can be found on ebay, just make sure they have been tested to be sure they are their original value. A good dealer is: http://stores.ebay.com/P-S-I-Love-You_W0QQ_trksidZp284.m183QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DCRX%26its%3DS%252BI%252BSS%26itu%3DISS%252BUCI%252BSI%26otn%3D4 If you want ot get the AP Vitamin Q's, then I would get them from Specialty guitars: http://www.specialtyguitars.com/electronics/caps.html They have other nice caps to choose from as well. tepidy
Definately find a pair of vintage sprague bumble bee caps with the following value of .22uf @ 400v You can find them on ebay for $100-$200 make sure the leads are long enough and that thier acutual value is close to the above mentioned. Worth the money sound awesome. If you dont want to spring for that much cash you can order great repo's from LUX capacitors.
