Is the SG Original discontinued ??

Sorry if this has already been discussed but I was looking at the new 2014 SG line up and there is no mention of the SG original. If they did discontinue you it, im glad I got mine because it is one of the best sounding, playing SG I have played and I have played a ton of them. Thanks

It's still on the website. The 2014 models are just what's being "added."

You'll know, when they discontinue the SG "Original" (IF they do), by the

howls of outrage, here! And, of course, by it's being taken off

the Gibson product website, and/or designated "Out of Production."

Personally, I hope they NEVER discontinue the SG "Original!" I/We've

waited much too long, for it's arrival. For Gibson to be building

SG's with that level of beveling, and horn tapering, once again.

I hope, too..that that cosmetic trend, will make itself evident on

ALL SG models, of ALL price ranges. It seems to be starting, in that

direction. So, let's just hope it continues!

I couldn't agree more with you. I am still amazed with this guitar even after having it for over a couple months. Anyone who is considering one of these do yourself a favor and try one out. I went to a local music store just to kill time and after playing this for a couple hours I told the kid there to go get the case, this bad boy is leaving with me. I also see it even getting better(if it could) after it ages for a few years.
