k-zoo sport
Hello all, I have a 1930s Gibson Kalamazoo Banjo with a bow in the neck. Is this covered under the warranty? If so, who would I contact? Thanks, Frankie
tvguit
Frankie, Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately that bow in the neck is not covered under warranty. How about you post a picture of the banjo? The solution could be a simple adjustment of the truss rod or it could mean a neck plane and refret. Dave F
The luthier I use has a steam press that he uses to straighten necks such as the older ones with no truss rod plus he uses it for his guitar building. You may want to check around if that sounds like it would fix it. Fairly inexpensive. I was considering buying a vintage guitar that needed the neck adjustment and he was going to charge me $65.
