vintagevibe
I just ordered a 2013 Les Paul '60s Tribute. Which model Grover locking tuners would be the proper replacement for the stock tuners? Thanks!
GibSinCity
Usually the stock tuners work fairly well. I won't ask if they're slipping, as you haven't even played the guitar yet. In most cases, that would be an issue with the re-stringing/locking technique. If you must have the tuners, wait until you get the guitar then measure the stock tuners and compare Grovers. https://www.grotro.com/Grover/2154a941-6e5d-484f-a28c-2640779e7038/LOCKING-ROTOMATICS http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Guitar,_solid_peghead_tuners/Grover_Tuners/Grover_Full-size_Locking_Tuning_Machines.html
vintagevibe
I want them for the stability but mostly for the quick string changes. I was hoping some people had done it and knew what worked.
GibSinCity
Here's what another fourm member did. Maybe it'll help. Second hit after a GOOGLE search of "gibson replacement grover tuners": This is from the Gibson Repair & Resoration Forum: http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/106817-replacement-tuners-for-lp-studio/

Bender 4 Life
whichever ones you get, make sure they're 18/1 gear ratio......allows for much "finer" tuning w/less "back and forth" to get it.
