1959jaws
Got a 70's Tribute Firebird...it plays outstandingly...but, the bridge pickup has about 1/2 the output of the neck pickup...checked all electronics and can't find anything wrong...Any suggestions? 1959jaws
Is the height adjusted right? yes...1/8" from strings
Iceman6937
In other words, the neck pickup is twice the output of the bridge? If they are both 1/8" from the strings, move the neck pickup further away until the output is similar. The string vibrates a lot more over the neck pickup so it has be a greater distance from the strings in order to compenate.
AndyK
IMO there's something wrong. I have a Firebird and the volume of the two pickups is very similar.

My Firebird pickup volumes are similar too, but they have to be adjusted differently relative to their position.

I would move the bridge pup closer, about 1/16", not 1/8". If that doesn't work, you might have a warranty issue.
SteveFord
Try experimenting with both lowering and raising the bridge pick up. My 335 had a weak sounding bridge pick up and I ended up with the bass side lowered a bit and now it sounds just like it should. Who knows. I think it's a warranty issue at this point.
Rick
Send it back, or move the bridge pickup to the neck position, and viceversa.
ironsausage58
I'm having the same issue. I've got the neck pickup adjusted as low as it will go and the bridge 1/16" from the strings and the neck is still noticeably louder. Please post if you had any luck getting it resolved.
