My SG

Here is the '71 SG Standard I recently bought from Stuart Mathis of the Wallflowers. Apparently it was represented as a '69 when he bought it, but Gruhn Guitars determined it is a '71. It was all original when I bought it. I had medium-jumbo frets installed by Mike Lull (local luthier, www.mikelull.com), and a bone nut and Plek job. It is a very cool guitar, great sound, really fun to play, and so damn light compared to my Les Paul..

Yep, these are much different than Les Pauls. I wonder what Les didn't like about them?
