makin
I'm still sketchy on whether the humbucker on the Studio BFG is a Burstbucker 3 or a 498 T. Different online shops say different things. So what is it? Does anyone know? Thanks!!
c3lew
They are Burstbucker 3.
makin
thanks--I just ordered one and I really don't like the 498 T and would have to replace it. I still may replace the burstbucker though with a Duncan Alcino II pro!
Oyster
It's certainly a BB3 - had mine out many times thus far. Great pickup!

Cat Daddy
I dont get the confusion on this its the BB3 I have it sitting in front of me right now:-s Retrosurfer1959, I think the confusion is mostly due to the fact that there are four BFG variants: 1 - The Les Paul Limited Edition BFG, which had a BurstBucker 3/P-90 pickup combination, and was a limited run of the first 52 produced in each color offered. 2 - The Les Paul BFG, which also has the BurstBucker 3/P-90 pickup combo and is a regular production model. 3 - The Les Paul Studio with BFG electronics, which has a 498T/P-90 pickup combination, and is a regular production model. 4 - The Les Paul Studio with BFG electronics, which was the Gibson Guitar of the Week on Week #25 in 2007. It had a BurstBucker 3/P-90 pickup combination. Hope this helps! Cat Daddy

The info about the 498T/P-90 pups was correct, though. <g> Cat Daddy
