zombywoof Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Not sure if anyone brought this one up as I have been out of pocket for the past couple of weeks but I have found it ---- the Gibson I covet above all others. Lonnie Johnson's J-100. Lordy, if this guitar could speak.
CAMELEYE Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I had the honor of playing this very guitar not too long ago at the dealer's. Couldn't afford it, but it was something to actually hold , pick and strum this legend. Ce

brians356 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Where can I learn more about this guitar? (URL?)
rscott4079 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 It's on Gbase, for sale at Bernunzio: http://www.gbase.com/Stores/Gear/GearDetails.aspx?Item=1952658 I'm going to guess that this is a guitar that we mere mortals won't be able to easily afford.
sfden1 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I'm actually surprised that hasn't sold yet. Not only is that a beautiful old girl, but Lonnie Johnson was one of the most innovative guitarists of all time, imo. A great player. You'd think some collector would have snatched this up by now.

Maybe if we organized a fund-raiser, say a walkathon perhaps? :-)
rscott4079 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Actually, there's a post over at the UMGF that says this guitar is on hold. That's not confirmed however.....
