Oh man, this looks nice.

not as nice as this ( and yes it is the real deal vintage circuit boards manufactured in 1987 :D) and yes that is in fact the factory dipswitch cover plate still on it (great sounding 120 watt all tube half stack if you ask me compared to the marshall JCM800 which has been suggested the peavey was cloned from although I doubt that as every jcm800 thing I see says it was only 100 watt and the peavey is 120 watts ;):

I'd love to see a iced tea Casino release too. I was pretty disappointed with '62 reissue "royal tan" paint job. So much so, that it inspired me to go have a custom iced tea burst put on my natural MIK '01 Casino.post-46327-085501300 1392841671_thumb.jpg

Wow, that looks amazing. How much did the paint job cost if u don't mind me asking?

It was a project that kept snowballing, but it cost around $700. The high price was mainly due to the fact that I had the whole guitar stripped of the poly coat finish, then the burst was applied, with a nitro clear coat. I wanted it to have a real vintage look and feel. If I had just had them put the burst over the original finish, it would have been around $300. I had it done at Chicago Fret Works. They have pictures of the job on their website HERE

Awesome refin!

Absolutely. Looks like it was worth the outlay. Lengle, would you start a thread and show some more pics? I would bet there are a lot of casino fans here who would like to see more.

Hell yeah, there should be a thread devoted to casino's anyway. Unfortunately I can't take part as I sold my cherry red casino that I turned into a natural casino about 7 or 8 years ago. I will get another one though, just need to get some money together. Having 2 kids changes your priorities re guitars but that and a riviera with mini humbuckers are on my list of wants.

Any word on when the new models will be available? The union jack has appeared on some UK websites but no US stores so far.

I haven't seen anything official, but FWIW andertons.co.uk show a delivery date of April 29th for the Casino Coupe.

I think a part of why Epiphone isn't making a ton of new models is they're still selling a lot of the "new" models from 2011 and 2012. If you go through the list of "new for 20xx" from those years you'll see a lot of models still selling that were limited editions then. 1961 SG P-90 and so on. So my guess is that they'll have fewer fancy new models, esp limited editions, for the next year or two, til the older limited editions etc sell out.

you know, it can't be too hard to paint the sides of the union jack yourself, as it's just simple rectangles. Get the paint match professionally and you're done.

It's been what 18 years since Noel debuted the Union Jack at Main Rd, sadly Epiphone are too late with this model. Also no union jack on the sides or back and too dark blue are deal breakers. You'd think if they waited this long they could at least get it perfect? Here is what it should have looked like:

Check the paint round the edges of the f-holes, delicious.

I find that shade of blue absolutely hiddeous. The Newer blue is classier.
