MCK Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Subject line says it all really. Sometimes I notice that after pushing MCK in these two indicators remain on. The phenomenon is also referred to in the manual in system shutdown section : If MCK is pushed down and you can see any symbol lid up, pull MCK, turn it to any other position than the Peg and press it down in order to shutdown the system. So I know how to get rid of this but I don't know why & what causes it. I suspect the guitar sign being lit has something to do with the Piezo but not sure about the humbucker. Anyone know what it means? Thanks in advance for your insight. Regards, KS

Regards' date=' KS [/quote'] Topic: Turning on/off blue light on MCK Switch on/off Powertune When you pull the MCK Powertune starts up and depending on your setup the Tuning Mode' date=' Chameleon Mode or Main Menu is activated. Additional the tone capacitor is deactivated, which means that you can rotate the MCK without changing the tone. This feature is necessary to be able to step through the different coil settings in Chameleon Mode without changing the tone. When you push down the MCK the tone capacitor is activated again and Powertune shuts down. But there is one exception! Powertune remains active when the PEQ or the Piezo signal is present AND you rotate the MCK to LED-Peg. When you push down the MCK at this position the PEQ and Piezo signal remain active. The tone knob feels like a regular knob (without clicks) and the tone capacitor is activated again. Roundup If you want to shut down Powertune, turn MCK to any other position than LED-Peg and push MCK. If you want to play with active electronics (PEQ and/or Piezo) rotate MCK to LED-Peg and push MCK.[/quote'] The lit "guitar" symbol means that the piezo is active. The lit "humbucker" symbol means that the Dark Fire's onboard 4-band parametric equalizer (PEQ) is active. Cat Daddy
