Question for Les Paul Traditional Pro 2 owners

So I just bought a slightly used Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro II (and love it!). But I can't open the battery compartment for the boost. I don't want to force it, because I'm afraid I'll break it.

Do any of you guys with this guitar have this problem? How can I get the battery compartment open?

Thanks!
