What is your current GAS list?

My wife thinks I have enough guitars.

So until the house reno's are complete(which they never are) my GAS list is the same as my winning the lottery list.

SG

ES-175

American Strat

American Tele

D-28

Any tube Marshall 50W half stack

Fender Twin Reverb

And seeing as it's a lottery GAS list I'm adding a studio/rehearsal building to the list.

So.......I put a 2001 lp special on lay away the other day.

My other GAS has been for a tele........but not a "normal" one. Looking at possible making my own...LP controls, TOM bridge, with either an explorer or Jackson style headstock....

For me, my list is:

SG Standard

PRS Starla

Boss ME-80

And something with a Bigsby.

EDIT - Forgot, the Firebird V in sunburst. Divine sound that.

For me, it would be (if I had VERY deep pockets!):

Gibson 18 string Razor (like the one Steve Clark plays in "In The Round In Your Face")

Gibson Black Beauty

Gibson Thunderbird

A Late 60's Fender Telecaster

Fender Stratocaster Eric Clapton Signature Series

Fender Stratocaster SRV Signature Series

Whilst there are a great many things I'd like to have just for fun there's really nothing I can think of which actually gives me GAS.

Sorry if that sounds smug but after 38 years of playing, buying and selling I've got pretty much what I want.

I'd actually rather shed a few before I considered getting anything else.

The closest I get to Gas would be every time I see one of these at Gruhn's.

A pre-'57 single-p'up ES-175.

They are always (for UK eyes) remarkably reasonably priced into the bargain.

This one was (from memory) a '56 and yet cost less than a modern version. In the UK it would be for seriously walleted folks only.

Pippy...

You may wanna look into an Eastman AR371CE - and I s'pose at the price one could swap a P90 for the HB. But I dunno if it's available in the UK.

I got one to take out when I wanted a full archtop in bad weather. It's pretty doggone similar to the 175 except for a bit of color and a lot of lesser price tag. Can't beat it at the price.

Thanks for the link, m!

They have some seriously fine looking guitars in that one page alone.

I don't know the brand but they seem to be very well crafted and appointed. I had a quick look with google (just for fun) and they are available over here...

The 610 and 805 to name but two are very attractive instruments.

I'll have to check out the rest of the range.....

Dammit...

Why in the world would somebody wanna open this again.

@#$%#$%@#$%

I, of course, as an aged one, have no inclinations toward new guitars or guitar stuff at all. Not whatsoever. No interest. Don't care. Don't even want anything. I agree with my wife that there's no room for more anywhere in the place unless glued to the ceilings.

Hmmmm. Okay. I just gave away one that's kinda a duplicate to a young lady whose "children" kinda appropriated hers; another goes to a teen who's a good little rodeo rider whose guitar was burned in a fire and who will get the thing when his family's ranch home is rebuilt in another month or so when the fall work's done.

So... @#$%#$%@#$%@#$

There just may, maybe, kinda, sorta, be room for another one although I certainly have, at my age, no interest in such frewfraws whatsoever.

Okay, I'm fibbing a bit. But just a little.

Maybe.
