I was a bit leary about the baked maple fretboard, but it is dark & plays like a dream.This is my first Les Paul & I am extremely satisfied with the quality, sustain & looks of this guitar. Been said many times about these guitars.......fantastic quality,truly great instruments,i'm sure Gibson went that extra yard getting them ''spot on'' in the hope''baked maple'' would take off,and bar the odd exception,everybody who owns one loves em',i'd also bet a pound to a pinch of s*** the majority of naysayers have never even played one.
