ParlourMan
Sometimes ye need to sit back and wonder if it's all been a bit of a blunder A Uke's not on par with a tasty guitar what spell is the bold Bucaroo under? Exclamations, declarations, "I'm done" but PM was there pokin' fun It's a hawaiian midget axe if we're pointin' out facts I'll finish this verse with a "c'mon son..." The last one, an only three lines to go an this one is just here for show I wouldnae like to bet, this will end in regret but then again ye just never know
E-minor7
A searching hobo-maestro who couldn't find the key did spot a capodastro across the mighty sea "If we could get together" The strugling hobo thought "perhaps inside that leather I'll find the missing chord"

Buc McMaster
Now that was excellent, PM! Of course it doesn't qualify for the contest but it sure is fine! A definite Honorable Mention for that one, sir! You folks are great! I figured this might be fun but it's been a barrel of laughs! So tomorrow this time we'll have two nominations for each, the capo and the picks........the forum will speak! PS...........as a little added bonus one of the winners will also receive this pack of genuine Rev. Billy Gibbons Lucky Mojo playing cards, given to me perhaps 20 years ago by the Rev himself. I think I traded him a small nose art decal for these.............he was into that stuff back then......may still be for all I know.... Still sealed in the original plastic wrap, untouched by human hands. A collectors item for any ZZ Top fan!

Fullmental Alpinist
Here's my entry for the capo. And oddly enough it's called the capo song. It's about why we all need Buc to give us really, really nice capos. The Capo Song (Be gentle I'm not much of a sanger or guitarist.) The Capo Song By Fullmental Alpinist (Verse1) I got the call just yesterday And it wasn't what I wanted So I pulled out my guitar and tried play But it wasn't the song I hoped to hear And what key it was in I couldn't be clear So I sighed and moved my capo up more (Chorus) Well God sends us songs throughout our lives But they're coming from a distance We need to listen real close to hear them right And they may not be the songs we'd choose Just got to play along if He sings the blues But if you want you can move your capo up more (Verse 2) You might just be in a place in life That isn't where you wanted And you pull out your guitar and start to play If your song is not what you'd hoped it'd be Try singing it in another key Just sigh and move your capo up more (Repeat Chorus) FMA
