retrorod Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Speaking of 'pointy heels'. This is a pic of the '73 J55(Kalamazoo-built) that I am doing repair work on and have shown in other posts. Gibson has made some changes through the years.....never say never. This is authentic.
ParlourMan Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 jaysus... I got all whipped up there and it turns out to be a guitar thread......

j45nick Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 jaysus... I got all whipped up there and it turns out to be a guitar thread...... I knew you were probably into pointy toes, but I never figured that pointy heels were on the agenda. You're going to have to tone your game down with fatherhood rapidly approaching.

Just that ladies shoes is something I know about (gentlemans shoes is my personal indulgence)..... thought I was going to get to flex my muscles on this one, but no... ah well.....

Didn't mean to pour a bucket of cold water on your particular interests, PM.
ParlourMan Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Didn't mean to pour a bucket of cold water on your particular interests, PM. No worries, I'd already had a cold shower so I was temperature adjusted..... ;)
fortyearspickn Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 So, PM, how do you feed the goldfish in the heels of those red pumps in the back of your closet?
ParlourMan Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 So, PM, how do you feed the goldfish in the heels of those red pumps in the back of your closet? I hope you were fully clothed when you typed that... otherwise that kind of chat is dangerously close to grooming.
ParlourMan Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Is 'feeding the goldfish' a euphemism? fingers crossed it is.
fortyearspickn Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Is 'feeding the goldfish' a euphemism? Is Imelda Marcos an icon?
zombywoof Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Gibson brought the French Heel necks back in the late 1950s with the first Epiphones but not out of any design change but rather because they inherited a bunch of left over Epi necks.

ParlourMan Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Is Imelda Marcos an icon? Not really when it comes to rights, fairness, wellbeing etc... but no slouch in the shoe department. In fact I used to nickname my own old dear Imelda as she had more than 140 pairs at some point... Must be down to a positively poverty stricken 70-80 these days though. I'm at a lowly +/- 50 so I can only gaze at these people in awe!
fortyearspickn Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 No goldfish were harmed in making this movie. But the actor sprained his ankle.
