Nice J-200koa, JohnT! The wood looks quite similar to that on mine.

 

I do like how the maple neck on that one is stained to kind of match the colour of the back and sides woods.

So you gave up on the 12 string and went to a 6 string Koa.

 

Stunning.

 

What a gorgeous back. And from the bit I can see in the shots, the sides are right there too.

 

The top looks a bit toned down - along with the darkness of the fretboard and the darker stained neck - she's quite a sight to behold. Major GAS and envy here.

 

How does she handle and sound?

Really nice! I have a 2006 standard, still in love with it. I have loved these guitars since I first saw them as a kid.

My silence dye to no internet for a week

She's a 2006 no pup but will work on getting some sound to you

 

She's a very lovely box not without fault has a couple of dings but plays great( unlike me)

 

 

 

No way given up on the 12 string there's a J200 12 AND a J185 12 on EBay UK at moment
