onewilyfool Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 You don't see much Koa of that quality…..wow…..even nicer than the one I had……can you post some sound bites???
J-1854Me Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Nice J-200koa, JohnT! The wood looks quite similar to that on mine. I do like how the maple neck on that one is stained to kind of match the colour of the back and sides woods. Fred
BigKahune Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 ... I do like how the maple neck on that one is stained to kind of match the colour of the back and sides woods. ... +1 So you gave up on the 12 string and went to a 6 string Koa. Stunning. What a gorgeous back. And from the bit I can see in the shots, the sides are right there too. The top looks a bit toned down - along with the darkness of the fretboard and the darker stained neck - she's quite a sight to behold. Major GAS and envy here. How does she handle and sound? Congrats! . . .
EuroAussie Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Wow,love the shades of bronze and yellow, sort of almost light tobacco flavour. Really special ..
CAMELEYE Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Impressive! Love to hear what koa does to the mighty J-200's tone.
