the ones I have, (Sheraton II, EJ-200, '62/50 Sheraton) are high quality cases, a nice tight fit, no bumping around inside them, and nicely lined.

they're Chinese, but basically on par with the Canadian Gibson/Guild/TKL cases.

Same here for my stock Epiphone Les Paul case.

When I bought my Epiphone ES 339 , I had them order me a case. It was more money than I'm used to paying for a case , the quality of the product was a surprise ,it's a nice one.

I have four epis... the best case is the one that my Elitist Chet Atkins (2004) came with. Top Notch!

Last year I picked up a Swingster Royale, I like that case. (I think Epi reconfigured these cases adding an arched top, pretty solid w/ a perfect fit.)

My only complaint if I had to find one is when I first got it, the case didn't close with the latches lined up correctly, so you had to sort of play with it to set it in place so the latches would close right. But, over time, it's improved and it closes more or less, correctly now. overall it's a fine case.

My Regent and Broadway hollow body cases are fine, (the cases for these are the Epi Advanced Jumbo acoustic.)

the case top is FLAT, not arched like all the other Epi/Gibby cases I have.

I think the Elitist cases are equivalent to Gibson, and the regular Epiphone cases are maybe a notch lower in quality but still very nice and offer plenty of protection. Plus the price is more reasonable.

I've got HSC's for my Elitist Casino, Dot, and Wildkat (oh yeah, and my banjo too LOL) and have no complaints with any of them. As noted, the Elitist case seems a tad better quality, but all of them are just fine for what I need (no air travel, etc.).

I preferred the Tolex on older cases (TKL), and the hardware and overall quality seemed better. The newer cases seem solid enough, but they do not close as precisely, and they all seem to have bumps underneath the vinyl. The vinyl covering seems thinner on the newer cases.

Epiphone makes a fine "hard" case. I have a few to protect the several "ES" style Epiphone guitars I presently own, as well as the SG and LP's and Wildkat . The "SG" case I recently received also fits the white LP Jr. perfectly (as well as my LP Standard Pro +).msp_thumbup.gif (or should I say the white Epiphone LP Junior and LP Standard Pro + fits into the Epiphone "SG" case, perfectly).

The past cupla years I've gotten several Epi brand cases, two for Dots and two for flattops.

One of the plastic molded cases may protect a tad better, but I can't even get a heavy guitar strap into the one I have for a big-body flattop. The Epi brand case in that sense is "better."

Bottom line is that I've tended to prefer an Epi brand case for an Epi brand guitar - and worry just a little when the purveyor sez they don't have any but they'll sell me "X..."

I would agree that compared to quality cases I got in the '60s and '70s, the case doesn't seem as "perfect" when closing, etc. That's likely a matter of how both hinges and fasteners are attached, 'cuz when closing the cases, they fit perfectly. And that's not just recent Epi-brand cases, but other brands too.

I bought one recently for my ES-339 Pro and I'm really happy with it. I don't gig very often so road worthiness wasn't really a consideration, but I think it would start to look distressed fairly soon if I had to take it on the road.

The lid needed a push to close it at first, but I tightened up all the screws that hold the partitions that form the accessory compartment and it is perfect now.
