Very nice! That top..... [drool]

Thanks folks....... I think the hard working people at Gibson let that one get out by accident under the Traditional line....lol.... The top is absolutely stunning..... Also my 2013 Gibson Custom Lite has just been kicking my butt... That guitar is off the charts killer too. You guys continue making guitars like that, I'll go broke for sure....lol

Man that fretboard is awesomely dark!

That's a very nice color Rosewood I don't like the light ones so much; like on my Y2K Deluxe, but that's beautiful!

I really lucked out on getting this guitar... I ordered it from Zzounds and I had no clue as to what it would look like upon receiving. But for $1699 it could have been a plain top and I would had been just as happy. The feel of the neck is great and the frets are nice and tall. The rosewood board is nice and dark.... Almost Brazilian like.... I was pretty taken back by the weight.... It almost feels like I have one of my Norlin LPC's hanging from my shoulder...lol

Nice Job, Duane!! [thumbup] Except for the smaller gab, between the

TRC and the nut, it would be pretty hard to tell, it wasn't an R-9.

Some natural playing relicing, will ever enhance that look, as well.

Good Show!! [biggrin]

lol..... I could facilitate the TRC further away from the nut.... Of course I would have to fill the existing TRC hole and re-drill.. and get out the trusty black permanent marker...lol...

Also the carve top on the historics are more pronounced..... nothing I can do there.

The back of the body is pretty relic'd from all the buckle rash.... Also the nickel hardware is starting to lose it shine from the sweat of 4 hour gigs.

Simply Stunning, Duane!

Really gorgeous colour and 'burst pattern.

She could have fooled me - no question!

sharp D !!

but you need an old, frayed edged, beat to hell brown case for it!

Have you seen the prices of those original Lifton cases [scared] ...... for the price I would be 2/3 away from a lemon burst R9

Well, I only meant those were little things, that the Real R-9 would have.

But, your "impersonator" is awesome looking! [thumbup][biggrin]

Yours is the best I ever seen. Have you done one before? That was my first attempt, I always wanted to do a holy grail mod. Im real happy with the results. I have always hot rodded instead lol. I dont think Im doin my bridge.

This is my first time working on a guitar.... I paid $200 for a week guitar tech class at the Frethouse and learned neck adjustments. fret leveling, intonation, electronic soldering, drilling holes (do's and donts), bridge saddle angle and notching..... The tools were expensive to buy, but in long run it will pay off
