Tman Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I remember in the late 60's my Mom loved him. I think he's great, still going I reckon. Good for him.
LarryUK Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I was born in a shop in Aston, Birmingham. It was just up from the ATV centre. Which hosted TV shows (Thank your lucky stars!). We used to have all the stars come into the shop and Tom was one. My Mom told me that he had holes in his jeans, he was that poor. I was too young to remember. We left when I was 5. But my sister and cousin used to go to the shows and one time Gene Pitney sung to them in rehearsals (My dad knew the doorman). Memories eh?
Kelvinator Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I remember in the late 60's my Mom loved him. I think he's great, still going I reckon. Good for him. He's still great! Check this out:
Tman Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Nope! It's not unusual. Exactly. So What's new *****cat? Looks like it's edited. You all know the title of the song.
daveg Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I met him around 1960 when he was doing his apprenticeship in local clubs. One of the songs we did together was "My Yiddishe Momma". The voice made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up even then. Frightening!! DG
MrNylon Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I liked Tom Jones singing the James Bond "Thunderball" song. A real superstar.
