How to install Epiphone Casino pickguard

Hello all,

I'd like to install the pickguard on my Epiphone Inspired Revolution Casino. In fact I like to install the screw that the original Lennon's Casino has.

That screw doesn't come with the guitar so I don't know what can I use to replace it. I also need the "screw cover" I don't know how to call it, is the part that cover the screw.

Any suggestion?

Does anybody has some experience doing this?

Regards.

Roberto, are you asking about the pick guard bracket? That's the only thing that I can think of that isn't provided for on a IR Casino. Like this?

Or the other style, with hidden pg attachment, what's called a 335bracket? That's what I did on my Casino, I like it better with no face screw.

If it's the later, you'll have to have the guard made by someone like Terrapin. The ready-made guards have the screw hole already, for the first type. Something to watch out for on Casino pick guards. The pickup placement on Casinos, over the years, has varied widely. What might fit on one, may not fit on the next one. At Terrapin, for instance, you can download a full-size template and actually fit it to your particular guitar. Mark it for any adjustments and mail it to them. You'll get the correct fit.

All of this info is good only if I've assumed correctly what you are after. If not, stand by. Someone else will be along to take a crack at it.

Hello Tweed2... Nice to see you again...

There are two black cylinders that protect or cover the screw in your first photo. Something like that is what I'm looking for!!!

Those black pieces are spacers that go between the pickguard and the guitars body (the hole below the fretboard), so that when you screw the pickguard down, there is no contact between it and the finish. You could try using a small black rubber washer. A normal sized pickguard screw, as found on a Tele/Strat should do the job for you.

Steve.
