1966 ES-355 Stereo Value?

I'm considering a purchase of a Red 1966 ES-355 Stereo and I'm curious what the market value is. I just want to see how much room I have for negotiating this. It has the Bigsby trem and also comes with the OHC and a vintage Bigsby Volume/Tone pedal.

 

I've always wanted a vintage Gibson and this one really interested me.

I just bought that very same guitar and Bigsby pedal. This year/model sells for over $5k on Ebay, and over $7k in stores. I got it for less than half of the retail price.

I was thinking the same thing.

I've got my eye on what I think is a '66 ES-355.

Unfortunately, it's been really 'hacked', but still a restoration project just begging to be done.

(I feel so sorry for it…..)

It's had more holes drilled into it than Swiss Cheese. :(
