lilyjoy
Hi, I have been sorting through my Grandpa's stuff, and came across this. It says it's a Epiphone Gibson Model PR 350E serial number 9852019. I was going to send it to the jumble, but a friend said to check to see if it's worth anything before I did that. This seems to be the place to ask I hope you don't mind. Kaiser Bill
Jumble??? I'm sure its worth something to someone. Doesn't appear to have any problems. Is the neck straight?? Are there cracks in the wood?? These things matter. A better photo (or six) would surely help.
jedzep
I've played a few newer Epi xbraced acoustic guitars and they are OK. I would look for one on Ebay to get a price idea. I assume there's always a bunch on the auction block.
lilyjoy
Hi, sorry about the photos... I'm not good using a pc. Hope these come out ok... I have never played or wanted to play, sorry. But my Grandpa did ages ago. This was at the top of his wardrobe. I don't know a thing about guitars. So I googled and came up with this site. jedzep
If it's in good playable condition the value is a couple hundred bucks. How high off the fretboard the strings are is an important indicator of how easily it plays. It's basically a starter guitar, maybe good for a new student or hobby learner. kidblast
as jed says it's a starter / intermediate instrument. it's probably not worth a lot of cash, 150/200 max if there's anyone in your family that plays or wants to play, maybe they would like having it. I wouldn't toss it (if that's what Jumble means)
