Certainly one of my top ten. Happy Birthday, Peter! He has such a unique voice on

guitar - you can tell him very quickly. And his vocals really were the sweet to

Steve Marriott's sour in Humble Pie.

A big influence on me as a kid!

He was the first Rock & Roller that I recall being broadcast and advertised for everywhere, even on broadcast television...

He was everywhere in '76 & '77!!!

I remember the TV commercials for his Frampton Comes Alive album vividly. I do recall seeing him more than hearing him then from my TV memories. They didn't really play clips of his music in advertising for the album...

It wasn't until later in my high school days that "Do You Feel Like We Do" became a drinking anthem, but I was immediately drawn to the guitar work which was, and still is, stunningly beautiful!

I can usually pick out his guitar work anywhere from a song and love the rich melodic taste he employs!

The whole story of getting back his original Black Beauty after 30+ years believing it destroyed in a cargo plane crash fire from 2012 was simply miraculous and epic in nature!

The man is still on the go and making piquant, sentient, and contemporarily meaningful/relevant music today and well into the future from what I see!

He's also doing alot with several of the pasts great artists highlighting artists we've all loved thru the years!

Heck, the guy's still a kid, what's the big deal?

He sure is! I've had the pleasure of meeting him a few times here in Oz and he is just the nicest bloke you'd ever come across.

I asked him once when he might think of stopping and he just grinned that famous grin and said "Never!"

The man is just hard core dedicated, no doubt.

Peter Frampton in Sgt. Pepper, here he is, it seems, in main role [thumbup]

A sad time for him indeed.... 8-[

I saw Peter a couple of times over the years......He always plays a couple of Humble Pie tunes....The only tune I have really wanted to hear is

"I don't need no doctor" and he never played it when I saw him...

FZ Fan - I was at that concert. Check out the young kid trying to hand Frank the "Tower of Power" and that happens to be yours truly back in High School.

I nearly fell over when I finally saw the movie many years later as I'd forgotten all about it and had no idea I was being filmed. Those were the days.

Happy Birthday, Peter Frampton!

Si'. We were in row 15 (or thereabouts) and when Frank hit the stage I decided to run on up there. The security guys made me open my jacket and wanted to confiscate it until I told them that it was a US Bong and I wasn't going to throw it so they shrugged and waved me on in. I didn't see the movie until around 35 years after the fact and I'd forgotten all about it.

You know you're getting old when you have no idea what "vaping" is. Whatever it is, it probably happens after my bed time.

Oh well, at least I'm not as old as Peter Frampton. I always loved is playing with Humble Pie and saw him open for Dave Mason a gazillion years ago.
