Easiest and hardest solos to play by your guitar hero

I have many heroes but I'll stick to my original Alex Lifeson. Most of his stuff takes a lot of time for me to get down. But the easiest solo by him would have to be Subdivisions. It starts with some simple octave runs followed by a few notes, moves into some simple harmonics and then finishes with simple triad chords (a little whammy bar thrown in). Sounds great though.

Lots of hard ones to choose, but I'd have to pick Freewill. That solo is just nuts. Fast riffs with nice whammy bar work. Lifeson said that he was just "trying to keep up" with Lee and Peart. Neat tune too. Can't think of many tunes that have Lydian runs for their versus.

I think the easiest was walking by Green Day 'Wake me up when september ends'

one of the hardest one which is not even a solo is Mr.Big 'Green teinted sixted minds' intro, this lick was a hell to put in place, sad thing is that I am sure I will never have to play it within the context of a band. :)

I have worked 'Beat it' Van Halen solo but I leave it, the fingers extension is too much for my little hands

I've been trying to come up with one player who is a favorite of mine and that I can think of an easy and difficult solo of theirs. :-k

Most of Jimmy Page's solos are technically not too challenging. "Dyer Maker" comes to mind as one of the simpler ones. "Communication Breakdown" might be one of his more difficult IMO.

From different players, "Alright Now" is one of my favorites that is fairly easy to play. Just have to get the bends and vibrato right, and play the hammer-ons cleanly.

The ending solo in "Mr. Crowley" is about the most challenging that I have ever bothered to learn note-for-note.

from the same album - Dead Flowers and Sway (final solo) - beautiful phrasing and one of my favourite solos ever from a player I admire.
